Intentional Choice; the redemption design

Royal Blue represents power and grace. I love this color for Jesus' robe dressing. Grace and Power to endure all that He endured to buy our salvation, the mockery, brutality and beating, when He could have called on His father to send Angels to wipe out all of those committing these acts against Him. Grace and Power He gives to us. Grace in forgiveness and redemption when we do not deserve it. Power, the very same power that kept Him on the cross, that rose Him back from the dead conquering and defeating death and evil, He gives us this same power over the enemy, the power to choose Him, His way, hold onto His promises and walk in His way.
Read with the Author
Intentional Choice is the platform dedicated to helping each reader with grasping intentionality in his or her relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.
Every vessel will be filled with "something", whether you choose it or not. Why not direct your life, reach out to your Creator, understand your purpose, choose it with intention?
Jesus was intentional in following His Father's will, being born as man - facing all that humankind faces, while embodying the Old Testament laws in teaching, obeying and fulfilling them. He then, with intention, chose to be the final sacrifice for sin, to embody the New Law He brought, based on love and grace. He could have called on Angels to save Him at any time, but He did not - He chose to endure being beaten, bruised, then chose to die, taking on all sin of mankind, which separated Him from His Father in Heaven, breaking His heart. Jesus conquered sin and death - God raised Him back to life - this was His intention: Provide direct access to The Creator for personal relationship, through intentionally asking Jesus to be Lord of heart and life.
What have you chosen? What is the basis on which you make the decisions that shape and define your life?

Why Jesus? Who Is He?

The book of John is a great start to understanding Who Jesus is, and who He taught us to be. Let's do our homework! Preview the beginning of John chapter 1 to see Who Jesus is. Who is John? Jesus' cousin. In other reference, he jumped in his mother's womb when Mary, Jesus' mother came to visit John's mother, Elizabeth (who was barren, but John was conceived with purpose). What is John's significance or purpose? (Verses 6-8) He was sent by God, to prepare people, hearts to receive Jesus, and to witness to them that Jesus was the Messiah they had been waiting to arrive. What is an important purpose of the first 18 verses of John? To counter all other concepts of what God is or is not, false beliefs about God. What do you think verse 1 is doing or saying? This 1st verse establishes that the universe had a beginning, contrary to the idea that it is eternal. It also states that God has existed from that beginning. Later verses will show that God, in fact, created all that exists. This verse also states that Jesus, is identical to the Creator: the Word was God. It begins to establish the concept of the Trinity, where God is one being in three distinct persons (God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit the Comforter). What does verse 2 clarify? That Jesus did not become God, or rise to the level of God, that He always was God, and is the Word, the Living Message that is God. Verse 10 says that, as well, by saying Jesus was in the world, made the world, but the world did not recognize Him for Who He was (still is). What do you think verse 3 establishes? God is the creator of anything that exists, that nothing exists that God did not intentionally create - it did not come from random or mindless matter. Remember that in verses 1-2, Jesus is established as God? So, also establishing that nothing was created apart from Jesus. What is John proclaiming with verses 4 and 9? Jesus is the giver of eternal life. To Hebrews, light was ultimate value. All good things were said to be "light," and evil was considered "darkness." Additionally, light implies revealing. Jesus not only exposes our sin, but, as light and life, He offers a way to be saved from that sin. Light also implies knowledge and awareness. Darkness is ignorance. For some, darkness is a deliberate choice. They know that what they do is wrong, so they prefer to hide from the truth. Light guides and comforts, but it can be infuriating to someone who chooses to remain in the shadows. Consider the significance of verse 5. Jesus came into the world, but it did not recognize Him for who He was. The world was a dark place at the time Jesus came into it. What does verse 10 say to you? Jesus is God. Jesus was in the world, the world that was made by Him (remember, established in verse 1 that God created everything, it did not exist before or outside of Him), but it did not know Who He was. What does verse 12-13 say to you? That we are born again, of God, to be saved not because we say it, and it isn't a physical experience, it is a change made by God, it is spiritual. Verses 36 - 38 John sees Jesus, the day after baptizing Him (earlier in John 1) and addresses Him and says "Behold the Lamb of God! Two disciples overheard John and start following Jesus. Jesus turned to them and asked them "What seek ye?" Why did Jesus asked the two disciples "What seek ye?"? He had to have already known. What a person "wants", effects what they are willing to believe. What do you want?

About
My name is Michelle Walker
My Life Scripture: Can a woman forget her suckling child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet I will not forget thee: Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before Me. (Isaiah 49:15-16)
A great honor of my life: My husband tells me he credits me with leading him to Jesus.
In writing, my goal is to be honest, transparent and open, who I am in life. The Choice, Intentionally Yours, is my first book. I've always wanted to be published, and I've written many things that sit in journals on a bookshelf, but, finally, in this interaction with Jesus, I believe there is something worth sharing. If you are going to read this book, I hope you will take one day at a time, dive into the scriptures referenced for that day, and I pray you come back up from it having had the knowledge and understanding of it explode in your life, as it did in mine.
